The United States military announced Tuesday that it had completely and comprehensively obliterated Iran's nuclear weapons program for the twelfth consecutive day, continuing an operational tempo that began nine months after the Department of Defense announced it had completely and comprehensively obliterated Iran's nuclear weapons program.
The Pentagon's statement described the strike as "decisive, total, and final," language it has also used to describe the eleven preceding strikes, as well as the original strike conducted in June of 2025, which officials at the time called "decisive, total, and final."
A Department of Defense spokesperson said there was no inconsistency between the current operation and last June's announcement. "We completely destroyed their nuclear capabilities then, and we have completely destroyed them again today," the spokesperson said. "These are not contradictory statements. They are sequential accomplishments."
At press time the Department of Defense announced they will continue to completely and comprehensively obliterate Iran's nuclear program until Iran's nuclear program was completely and comprehensively obliterated.
